Overview

Whitespace Director ( Data Center Solutions) – Singapore

Own and deliver the business unit project plan, developing and leading their teams in the safe delivery of projects ensuring sufficient training and development of talent. Build and manage a sales pipeline to deliver revenue to the BU and ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within financial requirements and margins. Develop external relationships with clients and supply partners to deliver major projects, ensuring compliance with commercial agreements, contractual terms, and statutory regulations. Lead the execution of projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, and technical standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe delivery of projects through management of risk and competence.
  • Recruit and retain talent for current delivery and future growth of projects.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.
  • Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on maintenance contracts.
  • Complete projects on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Identify, reduce and manage risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise).
  • Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
  • Plan and develop long‑term opportunities by creating a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Liaise with colleagues and managers to determine project opportunities; create case studies and host site tours for key decision makers.
  • Develop and manage bids, tenders and proposals; generate and secure new sales to exceed the annual financial plan.
  • Seek opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies; lead the sales process through solutions development and client engagements.
  • Deliver effective business communication and contribute to management meetings, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote and maintain CBRE core values; support development of team members; contribute to BU strategy; ensure governance compliance.
  • Manage BU forecast; address people issues and underperformance; negotiate contractual obligations and disputes.
  • Chair monthly and ad hoc project review meetings covering Health & Safety, CDM legislation and requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Recognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar (desirable).
  • Degree level qualification in Project Management (desirable).
  • Experience: Proven track record safely delivering projects in M&E, FM, construction, or critical environments; experience developing new project opportunities; experience running P&L; demonstrated team leadership; experience creating, presenting and managing bids, tenders and proposals.
