Caterpillar's Product Support Logistics Division (PSLD) currently has an opportunity for a Facility Procurement Professional in Singapore. This role supports procurement related activities for a facility to deliver excellence in Quality, Cost and Delivery.
What You Will Do:
Maintaining Assurance of Supply for the supporting facility.
In-Region sourcing based on cost improvement and Assurance of Supply priorities.
Supply base risk management.
Workload management in Lognet.
PO creation in Lognet.
Supplier payment grief management.
New Supplier onboarding for the facility.
Spend reporting for the facility to support rolling business plan.
Internal stakeholder management and supplier relationship management.
Supporting delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility.
Recognizing the potential for cost and inventory reductions, and quality improvement.
Operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets.
Collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facility specific supplier issues.
What You Have:
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials.
Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the processes.
