Overview Singlife is a leading homegrown financial services company dedicated to empowering consumers with innovative, technology‐enabled solutions across a wide range of products and services. Responsibilities Lead the design of cloud‐native architectures for complex, large‐scale enterprise and digital‐native workloads. Define reference architectures, reusable patterns and best practices for multi‐tier, microservices and serverless applications. Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for scalability, resilience, performance and cost optimisation. Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects and engineering teams to align architectures with organizational goals and compliance standards. Translate architecture into working solutions by building and deploying cloud‐native applications using Java with Spring Boot and related technologies. Architect and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery. Provision and manage AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, ELB) and automate infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation or Terraform. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across applications and infrastructure in both production and non‐production environments. Work with CloudOps, DBA, Security and application teams to deliver compliant and cost‐optimised solutions. Ensure designs meet Singlife’s cloud governance and security standards. Support the CCoE in driving adoption of best practices and reusable frameworks across projects and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering. Hands‐on expertise with AWS core services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, ELB, VPC, IAM). Proficiency in Java with strong knowledge of the Spring Boot framework. Solid understanding of container‐based deployments, orchestration and lifecycle management. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Bash or PowerShell. Strong ability to design and implement scalable, resilient and secure architectures. Proficiency with CI/CD and automation frameworks (GitLab, CloudFormation, Terraform). Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM and encryption practices. Strong troubleshooting, problem‐solving and performance tuning skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage executives, architects and developers. AWS certifications: Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional. Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS) and serverless design patterns. Knowledge of observability frameworks (CloudWatch, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus). Familiarity with multi‐cloud or hybrid‐cloud architectures (AWS and OCI). Experience working in high‐scale, high‐availability environments. Demonstrated ability to lead end‐to‐end architecture and engineering projects in enterprise or digital‐native organizations.
