Network Automation Engineer

Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience with one or more optical technologies such as client transceivers, optical metro, long-haul Dense Wave-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems, or submarine systems. Experience in programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python. Preferred qualifications Experience in building and maintaining software services, tools, and automation frameworks for analyzing and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) and optical networks. Knowledge of IP or optical network technologies (e.g., routing protocols, IP addressing, DWDM, Optical Transport Network (OTN), etc.). Ability to write SQL scripts, query data structures, and extract network and diagnostic information. Ability to analyze business processes and provide data-motivated recommendations for optimization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others through data-motivated insights. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of network deployment strategies, from initial planning to final delivery. Drive technical direction and roadmaps, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead projects. Design and build automation and tooling to improve the speed and reliability of network deployments. Advocate and implement best practices in software development, focusing on enhancing quality and performance. Provide ongoing support for automation systems and build upon existing infrastructure to create a comprehensive deployment automation stack.
