Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager . The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert support in trade and investment issues, advocating solutions at international platforms, and developing policy positions.

  • Investigate trade and investment issues of concern to the business community, co-create solutions, and advocate them at international platforms.
  • Support development of policy positions and formalise these through written policy papers, reports, and presentations.
  • Provide staffing and secretariat support for APEC, ASEAN and East Asia BAC members at meetings and working groups. Champion and implement ACCEPT (APEC centre of excellence for paperless trade).
  • Support the reporting officer in the planning and implementation of Singapore's ASEAN Chairmanship and APEC Chairmanship.
  • Staff the ICC Regional Coordinator for APAC and ICC Singapore as the National Committee, supporting activities such as the ICC Arbitration Group, ICC Customs and Trade Facilitation Group, ICC Digital Economy Group, and ICC Academy.
  • Assist in outreach on DEAs and GEAs by engaging businesses and government stakeholders to raise awareness and identify challenges in market access.
  • Track and analyse global developments in trade policy, digital economy, and related areas to inform advocacy positions.
  • Assist in organising stakeholder consultations, seminars, and events to gather industry feedback and disseminate information.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and provide secretariat support to ensure effective participation in multilateral platforms.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, consultation, planning, and communication skills, with excellent presentation and event organisation capabilities. Experience or a strong interest in international trade, e-commerce, digital trade, technology, or cross-border partnerships is advantageous. The ability to relate well to business representatives and travel frequently is also essential.
