Qualifications (Must-Have Technical Skills)
Certification/Expertise:
RHCE certification (or equivalent) with strong Linux system administration expertise.
Enterprise Systems:
Hands-on experience with Linux technologies and enterprise hardware (e.g., HPE MoonShot, ProLiant servers).
Automation & Cloud:
Proven experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, AWS/Azure APIs) and managing Microsoft Azure environments.
Scripting:
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Shell, Perl, or Python).
Deployment & Packaging:
Skilled in RPM/DPKG packaging, large-scale Linux deployments, and automated installations (e.g., Kickstart).
Virtualization & Monitoring:
Familiar with QEMU/KVM and enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios).
Integration:
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML SSO, VMware, and Windows Server/Desktop OS.
Networking & Security:
Solid grasp of TCP/IP, IT security concepts, and modern web architectures (SaaS, PaaS).
Nice to Have
Experience with FreeBSD, embedded Linux, or SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
Familiarity with Thin/Zero Client architecture.
Exposure to SAP on UNIX/Linux, ITIL framework, or Linux Kernel internals.
Knowledge of other UNIX-like systems.
Behavioral Skills
At least 5 years of senior-level Linux system administration experience.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, with excellent documentation habits.
Comfortable working with international teams across time zones.
Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset.
Familiar with enterprise IT change management processes.
