Overview
Senior Store Design Manager to lead and manage the expansion of Sephora stores in SEA. You will adapt and execute Design guidelines and own Sephora's image in the region. You will manage multiple projects from concept to delivery while leading a team of store designers and driving collaboration across cross‐functional teams to achieve outstanding results.
The role reports directly to the SEA Retail Director, with a dotted line to the Design Director for all creative matters.
Responsibilities
Serve as the brand advocate in managing the store concepts rollout plan in SEA, adapting formats from standard to flagship stores.
Capture market specificities to provide local adaptation while adhering to global guidelines.
Participate in prospective/global reflections or projects related to store design evolution and best practices adaptation.
Update design guidelines as needed and ensure clear communication and efficient execution.
Manage and optimize the design process from brief to completion, providing required documents such as Layout, 3Ds, and Schematic Design.
Initiate, follow up, and verify all deliverables; control and optimize any design solution.
Ensure alignment with sustainability and energy-saving recommendations.
Synergy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best execution within timeline and budget.
Coordinate with Construction teams on creative/technical support, store visits, construction follow-up, and snag lists.
Manage new store openings or renovation planning.
Maintain clear communication with SEA stakeholders to gather feedback and requests.
Work with Fixture Design to ensure fixture evolution is integrated into store design execution.
Communicate locally, regionally, and globally to provide visibility of SEA activity.
People
Lead and manage the SEA Store Design Team, including Store Designers, external design agencies, and suppliers.
Assess, develop, recruit, and motivate the Store Design team to deliver outstanding results.
Define team priorities and responsibilities.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Retail Design, with experience in retail agencies, corporate in-house, or beauty brands preferred.
Track record of successfully managing concurrent, fast-moving initiatives.
Effective team player across diverse disciplines and cultures; excellent communication skills with cultural diversity.
Creative and proactive with a strong attention to detail, technical solutions, and innovation.
Proficient in CAD, 3D, Photoshop, SketchUp, and hand drawing.
