Eightstone, a leading boutique wealth management firm headquartered in Singapore, is looking for a Senior Automation Specialist to lead and modernize our internal technology and automation stack. This is a unique opportunity to join a small but sophisticated team at the intersection of finance, technology, and process excellence.
It is an on-site role - presence in the office is required to work closely with different departments and ensure hands-on ownership of systems and operations.
About the Role
You'll serve as Eightstone's dedicated IT lead and automation specialist, working directly with Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Management to design, implement, and maintain the firm's cloud infrastructure and automation layer. You will be responsible for streamlining processes, improving productivity, and reducing operational risk by eliminating repetitive manual tasks.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Process Automation (Python-Based)

• Develop and maintain a wide range of Python scripts to automate operational tasks

• Centralize automation on a dedicated Azure-hosted VM, with proper scheduling, logging, and monitoring

• Work with internal teams to identify repetitive processes and build sustainable automation pipelines
Examples of automation use cases include:

• Transaction integration: fetching files from an SFTP server, transforming data, and populating transaction templates for upload into the Portfolio Management System

• Custom reporting: aggregating data from PMS, Bloomberg, and news sources to create tailored fund fact sheets and reports

• Risk monitoring: running automated risk-limit breach tests and compliance checks, including sanctions list screenings, with real-time email alerts

• Daily efficiency tools: building scripts that eliminate low-value manual work and improve reliability across all departments
Azure Cloud Infrastructure & IT Leadership

• Serve as our in-house Azure expert, managing SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure Virtual Machines, Power Automate, and other related services

• Oversee user access, permissions, and system integrity across our cloud ecosystem

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve our digital workspace
On-Prem to Cloud Migration Execution

• Lead the migration of on-premises servers and systems to Azure

• Plan and execute transitions with minimal disruption to business operations

• Ensure data integrity, security, and continuity throughout the process
What We're Looking For
Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT, cloud infrastructure, and automation

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and related tools (VMs, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Power Automate)

• Excellent Python scripting skills, with experience writing production-grade code

• Proven track record of automating real-world business processes (not just consultancy work)

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities

• Must be willing and able to work on-site in our Singapore office
Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-400) preferred

• Experience working in smaller firms or lean environments where autonomy and initiative are essential
