What You Will Be Working On?As an Army Engineer, you will: (1) Ensure readiness of a wide range of SAF Land Systems and give combatants confidence that their equipment is ready for operations. (2) Learn to maintain and operate assets and equipment ranging from the Leopard Tank and Terrex to Howitzers/Rocket Systems and Communication Systems. (3) Equip with technical, recovery, and diagnostic skillsets to carry out necessary technical tasks. (4) Train to specialise in the maintenance of one of the Army's equipment and systems. (5) Learn basic technical skills through theory, practical, and simulator sessions. (6) Work in professional and motivated teams to diagnose and rectify complex maintenance tasks for state‐of‐the‐art equipment and have opportunities to take part in local and overseas exercises. As an Army Engineer (Ammo), you will: (1) Ensure readiness of SAF by providing supply and engineering support for the SAF's firepower, ranging from explosives, artillery shells to guided missiles. (2) Train on the latest ammunition and guided missile technology, management, logistics, and safe handling of our ammunition and be a vital part of our operations and training. (3) Expose to adoption of innovative supply chain concepts. (4) Be involved in redesigning and modifying our SAF's firepower and research in explosive safety. (5) Design and implement procedures as part of our risk management plan to ensure the safety of our soldiers when handling and operating with ammunition. What We Are Looking For?Diploma/H.NITEC/NITEC in Science, Technology & Engineering (STE) Discipline or equivalent. Possess a leadership, innovative mind and good communication & interpersonal skills; highly motivated individual with a positive attitude. Mid‐careerists, with working experience in the relevant field, may be emplaced onto higher ME ranks based on their relevant expertise, qualifications, experience and assessed leadership on a selective basis.
