Responsibilities Collaborate with solution architects and product owners to refine technical requirements and translate them into solid system designs. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code, following best practices, design principles, and code standards. Develop and maintain backend systems using Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern Java frameworks. Build robust RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services. Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote knowledge sharing within the team. Debug complex issues and provide reliable, long-term solutions. Continuously optimize system performance, scalability, and security. Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Take part in Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of Java backend development experience, including 2+ years at senior level. Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA. Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices. Strong grasp of OOP, design patterns, and clean coding practices. Solid SQL skills with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL); familiarity with NoSQL is a plus. Proficient in version control tools like Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Nice to have Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container tools. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ. Certifications in Java or related technologies (OCP, OCM). Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular) is a plus. System Design Thinking: Ability to architect scalable, maintainable backend systems and microservices with long-term extensibility in mind. Performance Tuning & JVM Mastery: Deep knowledge of JVM internals, garbage collection, memory management, and performance optimization. Clean Code Advocate: Commitment to writing modular, testable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles and industry best practices. Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to guide junior developers through code reviews, technical coaching, and shared ownership of code quality. Business-Driven Development: Strong product mindset with the ability to translate business problems into practical and impactful software solutions.
