Senior Java Developer We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team within a leading financial institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, with hands‑on experience in cloud environments (preferably Azure). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Java applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. Build and optimize APIs and microservices using Spring Boot. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (business analysts, QA, DevOps, and product owners) to deliver robust solutions. Ensure application security, compliance, and adherence to banking technology standards. Participate in design and code reviews, mentoring junior developers where necessary. Requirements 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong foundation in object‑oriented programming and design patterns. Proficiency in Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices architecture. Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (Azure App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, etc.). Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git‑based workflows. Experience working in banking or financial services, particularly within transaction‑heavy or distributed systems. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
