About the job Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is looking for a Security Officer to join our Security team. Mandarin Oriental is the award‐winning owner and operator of some of the most luxurious hotels, resorts and residences located in prime destinations around the world. Responsibilities Report directly to Security Supervisor on shift and assist in carrying out operational and administrative duties. Ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and other security and safety related tasks. Carry out all hotel security and safety operation, special events and emergency responses. Patrol and visit all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required. Perform static duties as assigned and ensure maximum guest, employee and hotel safety and security at all times. Respond immediately to emergency situations and security calls and report in writing all activities during each tour of duty. Verify all incoming postal mail and delivery of supplies. Abate fire and safety hazards and conduct preliminary investigation. Any other duty undertaken by Security Department. Qualifications Experience in a hotel security or related environment; knowledge of security operating procedures; strong communication and problem‐solving skills; ability to work flexible hours and shift work; commitment to safety and service excellence.
