As a hardware engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products. Key responsibilities include designing, documenting, and developing optimized hardware, testing, bug fixing, and improving hardware performance, creating schematic and PCB library and bill of materials, preparing plans and documentation to support product certification/approval, developing and executing hardware validation plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards, designing and implementing test setups, test equipment, and automation frameworks for efficient and accurate validation testing, performing functional and performance testing of hardware components, systems, and subsystems, generating detailed test reports and documentation, and assisting on product issues during production and in-service.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in hardware design, validation, and optimization are required.
  • Proven experience in high-speed digital board design with expertise in interfacing bus standards like DDR 4/5, LVDS, MIPI, USB, PCIe, etc.
  • Analog circuit design and simulation are essential skills.
  • Experience in developing complex CPU and FPGA-based systems is necessary.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Altium Designer, PADS logic and layout, Allegro or OrCAD, Microsoft Office package, JIRA, VHDL, and Linux is required.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and equipment is essential.
  • Proven experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators is necessary.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols such as MIPI CSI-2, USB, HDMI, LVDS, Ethernet is required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance testing, and certification processes such as FCC, CE, EMC, and safety is essential.
