Procurement Executive / Senior Executive

As a Procurement Exec/Snr Exec, you will be responsible for managing Global Procurement Strategies to optimize costs, and Supplier relationships across Makino Group’s operations. You will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives to enhance competitiveness, efficiency and profitability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute strategies aligned with Company’s objectives
  • Identify procurement opportunities and potential suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, securing favorable terms and conditions

Cost Optimization

  • Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to achieve saving targets
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure Assurance of Supply

Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate to establish quality standards for procured parts
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement quality improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Makino Group to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs
  • Participate in cross functional teams on New Product Realization and initiatives

Compliance and Ethics

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to global procurement
  • Promote ethical procurement practices throughout the Supply Chain

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree or Professional Qualification in Supply Chain Management, or any Engineering-related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in strategic procurement, or supply chain management with focus on global operations
  • Knowledge of global procurement practices, market dynamics, and supplier relationship management
  • Negotiation and contract management skills
  • Effective communication skills, good interpersonal and cross-cultural experiences will be a plus
  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English will be a plus
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to travel overseas, willingness to relocate overseas
