Overview The role is School of Business - Lecturer (Business). The job of a lecturer is to impart knowledge and skills, prepare learners for the working world, and contribute to their development. This role offers opportunities to develop contemporary curricula, conduct lessons, and engage in consultancy, applied research and collaboration with industry partners. What you will be working on Deliver lessons, craft teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) students. Enhance existing and/or develop new teaching curricula and materials to improve learning, application and employability. Contribute to PET and CET modules and programmes, leveraging GenAI and EdTech where applicable. Participate in the development and enhancement of teaching and learning capabilities within RP and the School’s academic team. Support the School’s strategic thrusts and initiatives through academic advancement, student development, and industry projects. Teach and guide students in digital marketing and business technologies, focusing on integrating digital tools to solve business problems. Introduce students to martech stacks and platforms (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, e‐commerce, social media management, AI-driven marketing tools) and show how these systems connect. Develop students’ ability to evaluate emerging technologies (e.g. generative AI, automation, digital commerce platforms) and integrate them into business strategies aligned with industry needs. Incorporate hands-on use of digital tools (e.g. Google Ads, GA4, Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, Shopify, Wix, LinkedIn Campaign Manager) into applied projects, case studies and assessments. Undertake academic administrative responsibilities such as preparing lesson materials, setting assessments, grading, and coordinating academic reports. Provide pastoral support and guidance to students. Support students’ learning outside of the classroom through activities such as coaching for competitions, education and career guidance, supervising final year projects and internships, and leading overseas trips for educational and community service learning purposes. What we are looking for At least five years of relevant industry experience; teaching or training experience is a plus. Nurturing mindset with the ability to establish strong rapport with learners. Strong industry connections to infuse learning with real-life context and resources for updating academic programmes to industry needs. Expertise in one or more areas: marketing technology integration, digital marketing (SEO/SEM, social media, e-commerce, performance marketing, content strategy, analytics), international trade and business, banking and finance, sustainability reporting, and data analytics. Ability to evaluate and integrate new business technologies with an outward-looking mindset. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Power BI is a plus. Industry certifications (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Sustainability) are a bonus. A team player who can manage multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment. Successful candidates are expected to be self-driven, resourceful and innovative with strong communication skills.
