Job Description:The Assistant Manager, Building & Facilities Maintenance is responsible for managing buildings and building services in the Academic/Residential Zones, ensuring they remain fully functional and operational at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance Planning and Supervision : Plan and supervise maintenance activities to ensure inspection programmes and preventive maintenance works are carried out as planned and according to standards expected.
- Cleaning Program Management : Manage and supervise daily and cyclical cleaning programs, conduct regular inspections, and perform monthly performance assessments to ensure cleaning standards are met.
- Upgrading and Improvement Works : Manage upgrading and improvement works, understand scope and requirements, develop work proposals, and estimate associated costs.
- Structural and Façade Inspections : Manage and supervise BCA periodic structural and façade inspections conducted by appointed Qualified Person according to planned schedule and follow up with rectification of identified defects.
- Event Support : Engage with event organisers upon event notification, gather event support requirements, manage logistical setup, and provide technical support as required.
- Identification of Improvement Works and Budgeting : Identify improvement works, maintenance needs, and cyclical maintenance programmes, and derive budget required for Office of Campus Housing.
- Educational Background : Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Work Experience : At least 5 years' work experience in the building or facilities management industry.
- Skills and Competencies : Good knowledge in building services design, installation, and maintenance, proficient with Microsoft Office, self-motivated, positive working attitude, and customer-oriented.
