High-Speed Analog IC Design Engineer

About the Role

The Optical PHY team is responsible for designing high-speed transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro, and datacenter applications. We address the bandwidth, capacity, and power issues faced by cloud computing, mega data centers that power social media platforms.

Our innovative approaches have resulted in products being first to market in many key areas, developing advanced chips and subsystems solutions to address the ever-increasing demand of higher data rates driven by video-on-demand, gaming, and other real-time data streams.

We are seeking talented individuals to work on solving technical challenges with a group of outstanding collaborators in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and verifying circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, DACs, regulators, amplifiers, TX/RX blocks, and CDRs to meet critical performance targets.
  • Performing design verification using industry-standard tools, including Spectre, MATLAB, and others.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits, including ADCs, DACs, RX/TX blocks, PLLs, DLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog circuits.
  • Deep and/or broad expertise in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
  • Strong ability to apply innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Track record of developing and implementing best practices that deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Experience with low-power and high-speed design techniques.
  • Proficiency with IC design and CAD tools such as Spectre, SPICE, MATLAB, Verilog, and others.
  • Laboratory testing skills to validate prototypes against design specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
