Job Overview

This position provides operational support for laboratory management across all projects, encompassing safety, compliance to regulations, equipment maintenance, purchases of consumables, and other expenses. Additionally, it supports researchers on various aspects of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing daily operational and administrative support for the functioning of labs and programmes.
  • Assisting with procurement, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Purchasing chemicals, consumables, and managing inventory.
  • Supporting researchers, students, and contractors with matters related to health, safety, and compliance.
  • Implementing the NTU safety policy, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training.
  • Handling license matters.
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties related to laboratory management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Research/ academic and lab settings.
  • Experience in laboratory management is advantageous.
  • Experience in procurement and inventory management.
  • Documented experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in IT and strong writing skills.
  • Excellent team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
