Job Summary

This pharmacy technician role involves collaborating with pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Medication Management: Process prescriptions, dispense medications, and maintain accurate records in accordance with set guidelines.
  • Medication Counselling: Provide patients with detailed information on proper medication use, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee drug inventory levels, including ordering and stocking supplies, conducting stock counts, and performing inventory checks.
  • Training and Development: Supervise and train new Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to ensure they meet necessary standards.
  • Administrative Support: Assist pharmacists with operational tasks, such as managing projects and maintaining records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent qualification, such as GCE O level with a Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent patient relation and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Teamwork and Motivation: A strong team player with self-motivation and ability to work under fast-paced environments.
