The role of a Pharmacy Technician is pivotal in ensuring the smooth dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires an individual who can multitask with ease, handling medication orders and prescriptions for both inpatients and outpatients.
Responsibilities:
- Process medication orders/prescriptions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Pick, pack, and label medications in line with departmental standard operating procedures.
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking supplies properly and adhering to the First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) requirement.
- Perform topping up of omnicell ward stock in designated wards.
- Dispense medications to patients in compliance with stipulated policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science.
- Completion of Basic Skill Test or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC).
