Nutrition Expert Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Expert to join our team. As a Nutrition Expert, you will apply the science of nutrition to promote health and wellbeing, improve dietary habits, and manage various medical conditions in our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients' nutritional and dietary needs in accordance with established protocols.
  • Create individually tailored nutrition treatment plans.
  • Confer with care teams to coordinate medical and nutritional needs, make recommendations for tube feedings and/or oral nutrition supplements.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to evaluate the effectiveness of the nutrition treatment plan and adjust as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and departmental statistics.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement health and nutrition education activities or programs to promote wellbeing and health in the community.
  • Participate in community outreach activities related to health promotion.
  • Develop and update nutrition education materials and resources for clients, caregivers, and the general public.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop multidisciplinary health programs focusing on nutrition education and activities.
  • Assist with catering tender evaluation and coordinate catering for centers.
  • Plan, review, and develop menus, including implementation of therapeutic diets where relevant.
  • Monitor food quality, uphold hygiene standards, and assist in compliance with regulatory food standards.
  • Contribute to staff training on food hygiene, food portioning, and food preparation.
  • Conduct dietary, nutritional, and epidemiological research, including meal satisfaction and outcome.
  • Participate in nutrition research studies, draw conclusions, and make recommendations based on research data and findings.
  • Analyze current clinical knowledge, standard of care, and research to improve patient care and nutrition service offerings.
  • Review current literature regularly to ensure advancements in nutrition care are incorporated into nutrition practices and protocols.
  • Provide consultation and evaluate food service systems to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines in care facilities.
  • Provide nutrition consultancy and/or dietetic services to nursing home facilities.
  • Provide menu review and endorsement services to caterers serving care facilities.
  • Assist with operational duties as required.
  • Represent the department at meetings and/or conferences as required.
