About the team
The Enterprise division is booming. With significant revenue increases year-on-year, the business is the engine room of our global strategy. Our team collaborates closely with the largest global merchants to enhance customer experience, and reduce touchpoints while onboarding as a Worldpay merchant.
As the Regional Onboarding Project Management Leader, you will spearhead the merchant onboarding journey. Your mission is to accelerate time-to-live for merchants, reduce friction in the onboarding process, and ensure that every merchant experience is seamless, strategic, and commercially impactful.
This is not a technical role - instead, you organise our pipeline, will front negotiations and discussions with Legal, Compliance, Credit, CDD, and Risk teams, ensuring alignment across functions while minimizing back-and-forth with customers. You will also set priorities for central functions and ensuring the right deals move forward at the right time.
What you'll own as the Regional Onboarding Project Management Leader
Drive Business Development
- Lead onboarding strategy for enterprise merchants across APAC, ensuring commercial priorities are met.
- Own and manage the onboarding pipeline, helping to set clear priorities for Credit, CDD, Risk, and other onboarding stakeholders.
- Reduce customer touchpoints by streamlining processes and ensuring internal alignment.
- Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to accelerate merchant go-live and revenue realization.
- Act as the central go-to leader for all internal colleagues and external customers to support the onboarding of new Merchants
- Craft and execute the project plans incorporating all key dependencies, project status, managing deliverables from all internal and external stakeholders.
- Arrange customer demo and training on Worldpay products, systems and tools.
Strengthen Relationships
- Act as the trusted point of contact for merchants during onboarding, ensuring confidence and clarity.
- Partner with internal commercial leads, to align on quarterly priorities and pipeline reviews.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders to resolve blockers quickly.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and merchant partners on progress, risks, and next steps.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants & Implementation Managers for technical requirements definition.
- Collaborate with merchants to gather, collate & submit relevant documentation to ensure SLAs are met.
Lead the Regional Team
- Manage and mentor a high-performing onboarding project management team across Singapore, China, South Korea, and Australia.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Champion process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree with strong track record in project management and knowledge of project management best practices.
- Proven experience in business development, project management, or merchant onboarding within financial services, payments, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of Legal, Compliance, Credit, CDD, and Risk processes in a commercial context.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead regional teams and manage multiple priorities across markets.
- Commercial acumen with a track record of accelerating revenue through operational excellence.
- Resilience, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Autonomy to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and resilience to manage internal blockers and find solutions.
