Job Responsbilities

Linen Attendant is to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of linen storage room in Thomson Medical Centre.

  • Maintaining the linen room area and shelfing's in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Check correct linen quantity against the launderer delivery orders.
  • Spot checks on selected linen for stained and torn linen.
  • Return the stained & torn (hems, joins) linen with delivery order to launderer for rewash and mending.
  • Damaged linen to be recorded in the inventory for disposal.
  • Ensure good supply of clean linen & restocking when necessary to wards and clinical units.
  • Curtain changing at in-patient room on monthly basis and when necessary.
  • Keep track of special items; cubicle & window curtains, cushion covers, etc.
  • To undertake other duties which may be determined from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Secondary Education
  • Knowledge on laundry & linen setting
  • Service Oriented
  • Basic knowledge of using Microsoft Excel
  • Able to handle heavy loaded trolleys, linens and amenities
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to commit 6 days work week, morning shift 7am - 3pm.
