As a Senior Specialist in the Regulatory Technology team, you will be instrumental in delivering technology solutions that ensure Nasdaq's trading engines comply with regulatory standards and that surveillance programs are optimally designed, including conducting data analysis of algorithms. Your technical expertise will play a crucial role in upholding the regulatory integrity of Nasdaq's global markets.

As a new member, you will collaborate with professionals across disciplines including business, legal, and development. You will be responsible for enhancing and supporting software and technology vital for regulatory compliance within trading platforms and surveillance applications. Your role involves working within a global, technology-driven team delivering essential regulatory solutions and services to Nasdaq markets.
You will oversee critical project delivery activities and facilitate interactions between internal teams to address issues and reach solutions. There will be opportunities to learn from domain experts and take on additional responsibilities within the team, engaging with colleagues in Mumbai and other regions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement application software for Regulatory Technology projects.
Analyze rulebook language and design models for test script creation.
Participate in design reviews of trading engines, develop effort estimates for rulebook compliance testing, and resolve potential issues.
Conduct testing, review results, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions across teams.
Engage in surveillance pattern design reviews, develop models and technical documents, and conduct data analysis to inform decisions on parameter usage.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, compliance testing, and data analytics.
Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities.
Proficiency in Java, databases, complex query writing, and market trading platforms.
Excellent grammar and writing skills.
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GitLab.
Bachelor/Master's degree in science, engineering, computer science, math, or statistics.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of trading and market structures.
Understanding of surveillance patterns, algorithms, SQL, Python, and data analysis.
Experience in regulatory rule drafting and interpretation.
