Evaluating risks, developing and analysing insurance concepts: You will undertake the task of contract calculation and negotiations, and prepare risk prevention concepts, while being an expert for Property insurance.
This Senior Property Underwriter role will work closely with the Property Underwriting Manager and broader team to develop and underwrite a profitable property portfolio in South East Asia and the Middle East.
Roles and Responsibilities

• Actively engage with brokers, cedants, and insureds throughout the region in order to better understand their needs, and market HDI's products and solutions

• Manage and develop a portfolio of accounts, proactively identifying opportunities for growth

• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders from various departments within HDI

• Underwrite business in accordance with HDI's underwriting philosophy and guidelines

• Review and complete full assessments of renewal and new business, utilising HDI's underwriting and pricing tools

• Deliver on HDI's Key Performance Indicators for growth and profitability

• Raise company and own visibility through attendance and representation of HDI at appropriate events, conferences, and industry seminars

• Visit overseas brokers, cedants and insureds to support business development activity as required
Requirements

• Has a minimum of 5 years' relevant underwriting experience

• Progress towards ACII (or equivalent) qualifications

• Has international experience and / or demonstrated experience of underwriting risks in South East Asia
