Financial Controller

You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, reviewing periodic closing, and financial statements. You will need to prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly balance sheets, P&L statements, and ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be required to ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, as well as consolidate financial reports for investors and lenders.Your role will involve ensuring timely completion of internal and external audits, including statutory and tax audits, with zero major non-compliance issues. You will also be responsible for planning and leading ERM meetings, updating risk registers, and engaging with risk owners. Collaboration with shared service functions for the smooth preparation of financials will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.As a candidate, you should have a strong accounting background, ideally with experience at a Big 4 firm in statutory auditing. Managing finance teams across multiple geographies and overseeing controllership responsibilities for international business units will be part of your role. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls, as well as leading accounting procedures and system refinements for compliance with corporate governance, will be essential tasks.Building effective working relationships with various stakeholders within the organization and collaborating on driving finance transformation initiatives are crucial aspects of this role. The desired qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant with an accounting degree and at least 17 years of controllership experience in mid to large MNCs, starting in an audit firm. Experience with IPOs and a good working knowledge of INDAS are preferred qualities. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with stakeholders across different levels are also important attributes for this position.,
