Job Summary The Senior Risk Officer (SRO) supports the Head of APAC Risk Management in leading the risk management function across the APAC Property & Casualty business. As the lead in the P&C line, the SRO drives all risk‐related activities, including operational, financial, reputational and emerging risks such as environmental/climate risks across the APAC region. The SRO is accountable for establishing, maintaining and enhancing effective risk‐management frameworks and systems tailored to each entity's risk profile, regulatory environment and business strategy. Responsibilities The SRO spans the full spectrum of risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting and escalation, ensuring that risk matters are addressed proactively and communicated clearly to key stakeholders. The primary stakeholders include the Head of APAC Risk Management, Group Risk Management, senior management, executive committees, risk committees, the Board and regulatory bodies such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). In countries where the business focuses on a single line, the SRO may serve as the designated risk representative for the entity, acting as the primary point of contact for local risk matters and regulatory engagement. Required Experience & Competencies At least 8 years of relevant experience in actuarial or risk management roles, with proven expertise gained through practical work. Strong actuarial or equivalent technical skills, analytical acumen, risk‐management knowledge and effective communication skills. Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively across business units, functions, entities and the SCOR group. Self‐starter, adaptable and team player, consistently contributing as a valuable team member. Proficient in verbal and written communication, with demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely. Proven influencing capabilities, ideally with experience managing senior‐level stakeholders and challenging constructively at all levels. Required Education Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or an equivalent field, with strong actuarial or equivalent technical expertise and analytical acumen.
