Job Summary The Senior Risk Officer ("SRO") supports the Head of APAC Risk Management in leading the risk management function across APAC Life & Health ("L&H") business. As the lead in the L&H business line, you will drive all risk‐related activities – operational, financial, reputational, and emerging risks such as environmental/climate risks across the APAC region. You will also establish, maintain and enhance effective risk management frameworks tailored to each entity's risk profile, regulatory environment, and business strategy. You are the key interface for all L&H risk matters. Success in this role requires strong analytical and technical skills in risk management and/or (re)insurance business, clear communication of complex risk issues, and proven leadership qualities. Responsibilities Oversee risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and escalation across APAC. Communicate risk matters clearly to key stakeholders: Head of APAC Risk Management, Group Risk Management, senior management, executive committees, risk committees, Board, and regulatory bodies such as MAS. In countries focused on a single line, act as the designated risk representative, serving as primary point of contact for local risk matters and regulatory engagement. Required Experience & Competencies At least 8 years of robust experience in actuarial or risk management roles. Strong actuarial skills (or equivalent technical expertise), analytical acumen, risk management, and effective communication. Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities. Collaborative mindset across business units, functions, entities, and the SCOR group. Proficient in verbal and written communication, with ability to explain complex issues clearly. Proven influencing capabilities, experience managing senior stakeholders, and ability to challenge constructively. Required Education Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or equivalent with strong actuarial or technical expertise.
