Business Development Specialist Role
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team. This role will assist in identifying new business opportunities, supporting bid administration, coordinating across business sectors, ensuring compliance with internal policies on bid and tendering, and promoting client engagement within the engineering and construction industry.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and tracking new business opportunities, tenders, and strategic partnerships.
  • Assisting in formatting and preparing high-quality business proposals, tender submissions, and presentations.
  • Coordinating with various internal stakeholders to gather necessary input for bids.
  • Ensuring all commercial aspects of proposals and tenders are aligned with company objectives, bid compliance, systems, procedures, and risks are identified and recorded.
  • Managing and tracking proposal deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all required documents.
  • Gathering relevant project information from databases and past project experience to support bid submissions.
  • Organizing and managing bid-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities, leads, pipelines, and opportunities.
  • Facilitating weekly sector prospect review meetings.
  • Maintaining Bid Master File and preparing reports for monthly business review meetings.
  • Coordinating internal and external appointments, client-facing activities, and meetings.
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of the business development function.

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business, or Engineering; fresh graduates welcome to apply.
  • GCE O' Level with proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A good team player who is proactive and self-motivated.
