The jobholder will be part of the AI Infrastructure, HTxAI. The team is dedicated to building robust AI systems that support critical operations which team thrives on innovation, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. As the Lead AI Infrastructure at HTxAI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for AI and machine learning projects. This includes developing robust and scalable compute environments, ensuring efficient data storage and processing capabilities, and supporting the continuous deployment and integration of AI models. Your contributions will be critical in enabling the successful development and deployment of AI solutions within the organization. We are looking for highly technical individuals who are passionate about tech, love to solve problems, must be able to code and have a sound engineering mind. What you will be working on Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure required for AI and machine learning projects, including on-premises servers and cloud-based resources. Develop and optimize data storage solutions to handle large-scale, confidential datasets. Implement and manage scalable compute environments for training and deploying AI models. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of AI infrastructure. Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their infrastructure needs and provide appropriate solutions. Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and version control. Monitor and optimize system performance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI infrastructure technologies and recommend appropriate adoption. Provide technical support and guidance for AI infrastructure-related issues. What we are looking for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computing, Engineering, or a related discipline. 2-8 years of work experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on supporting AI and machine learning projects. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes). Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for handling confidential data. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred: Experience with AI/ML model deployment and management. Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed systems. Certifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure engineering. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
