MNC (subsidiary firm) specializes in
low voltage electrical connectors
(specialist manufacturer of hazardous area products including lighting, control stations, junction boxes & enclosures) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (for Asia) to join their team to develop their product specifications, customer portfolio, distributors, and sales in Asia in a niche and complex industry
(Oil & Gas offshore and onshore, mining, cement, chemical and pharmaceutical, marine and defense).
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling the products and services offered by the Company, building the loyalty of customers already acquired, aiming at customer satisfaction, continually finding unique ways to engage new customers, increasing the size of the business in the geographical area of his responsibility, in order to reach or exceed the turnover and margin targets set by the Sales Management for the regional/customer base entrusted to him/her, while respecting the company's values and ethics.
Responsibilities
Create, maintain and expand the customer base in the regional areas (but not limited to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea) assigned to him/her.
Manage the relationship with customers and all business negotiations with them.
In accordance with the shared business strategies, find suitable ways and consistently bring new business opportunities from the area/customers entrusted to him/her into the company.
Develop specific sales strategies for the main area/customers (but not limited to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, S.Korea) entrusted to him/her and put them into practice with concrete tactics and actions.
Regular visits to target OEMs, System integrators, Contractors, M&E consultants, and EPC in different fields.
If required, help set up an indirect sales network, selecting possible agents/distributors and submitting them for approval by the Sales Management.
Manage and coordinate the activity of agents and distributors in the area of his/her responsibility.
Gather feedback from customers and the market regarding the products/services offered and report these within the company.
Prepare timely and accurate sales reports.
Be closely involved in monthly project meetings and discussions with the factory in Europe.
Propose the sales budget providing concrete elements for its discussion and subsequent approval.
Keep abreast of the products/services offered by competitors and their sales trends in the area of competence.
Ensure timely follow-up of the sales offers sent.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Fluent in English written and spoken.
Minimum 7 years of working experience preferably in a related field.
Proven Senior Sales & Management experience in the target market.
Knowledge of Communication & Marketing techniques.
Knowledge of Sales & negotiation techniques.
Knowledge of Business Development.
Proficient in MS Office.
Knowledge of low voltage electrical connectors products and their target markets & regulations will be an added advantage.
Candidates with a network of OEMs, System Integrators, Global Contractors (including EPCs), and M&E consultants will be an added advantage.
