Role The Business Development team is a high-impact, strategy and operations-focused team connected to the core of the business. We're looking for motivated self-starters with grit and hustle to join us on our journey to deliver world-class home and beauty services. As a Business Development Associate/Senior Associate, you will be responsible for leading and managing a few strategic initiatives that will have a direct impact on the future growth of Urban Company's business in Singapore. In this role, you will find 360-degree exposure to all key areas of the business. Your priority will be to define the priorities and operational needs to grow your category and take it to the next level. You will get to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on the local and international level. You will also develop a deep understanding of the key markets and industries we're working in, and own the service journey end-to-end, including but not limited to: using tech/SOPs to manage our fleet of service professionals, identifying new market opportunities, launching new services, and designing a service experience that delights customers. You will get to experience both diving deep into data to break down problems and deliver insights, while also working hands-on to ensure best-in-class execution and deployment. Job Responsibilities Play a key role in shaping the development of the category, overseeing key aspects of its operations and growth. Identify and solve structural problems to expedite the category's growth. Manage analytical projects aimed at solving various types of business problems. Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners in marketing, technology and product to execute multiple category and central level projects. Maintain a strong understanding of key trends within the industry and a high awareness of the competitive landscape. Qualifications and Skills A Bachelor's degree is essential. 0-2+ years of work experience in a similar role. Goal-getter and proven track record of achieving stretch targets. Strong bias for action, willingness to execute and hustle to get the job done. Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills. Proficient in using data insights to drive business insights and actions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept at solving ambiguous problems, and highly focused on outcomes.
