Key Responsibilities
- Review, register, and assess travel insurance claims (e.g., trip cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, lost baggage, delays).
- Evaluate supporting documents such as medical reports, police reports, receipts, and travel itineraries.
- Conduct investigations into complex claims, including fraud detection and recovery actions where necessary.
- Liaise with policyholders, travel providers, medical facilities, and third-party administrators to validate information and process claims efficiently.
- Make settlement recommendations and ensure claims decisions are consistent with policy wordings, underwriting guidelines, and service standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in claims management systems.
- Provide clear communication to customers regarding claim status, decisions, and next steps.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, process gaps, and suggesting enhancements in travel claims handling.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal claims policies.
