Travel Claims Handler

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills? We are seeking a Travel Claims Handler to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing, registering, and assessing travel insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess travel insurance claims, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, lost baggage, and delays.
  • Evaluate supporting documents, such as medical reports, police reports, receipts, and travel itineraries.
  • Conduct investigations into complex claims, including fraud detection and recovery actions where necessary.
  • Liaise with policyholders, travel providers, medical facilities, and third-party administrators to validate information and process claims efficiently.
  • Make settlement recommendations and ensure claims decisions are consistent with policy wordings, underwriting guidelines, and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in claims management systems.
  • Provide clear communication to customers regarding claim status, decisions, and next steps.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, process gaps, and suggesting enhancements in travel claims handling.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal claims policies.
