You will be supporting a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing inclusive support to individuals with disabilities to bridge the employment gap. As part of this "for-purpose" social enterprise, you will play a crucial role in demonstrating the advantages of employing people with diverse abilities by blending human services and business strategies effectively.
One of the main initiatives you will be involved in is the Accessibility Partner Program, which aims to pair blind and low-vision individuals with professional visual interpreters known as Inclusive Support Specialists. In this role, you will provide tailored support to a blind Data & Appliance Analyst based in India, ensuring efficient workflows in a fast-paced technical environment.
Your responsibilities will include translating visual assets into accessible formats, preparing PowerPoint presentations using data and visuals from various tools, and ensuring content accessibility by following up on inaccessible or unlabeled materials. Additionally, you will need to have a basic understanding of code structure in Visual Studio, strong visual interpretation abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
It is important to note that this role is not a testing position but rather a support role to enable the client to perform their job effectively. You will be working closely with a blind Data & Appliance Analyst under the Cloud Plus, AI organization, assisting them in tasks such as coding, analyzing data dashboards, and managing technical projects through platforms like ADO and Azure.
Having prior experience working with blind professionals or knowledge of JAWS screen reader, familiarity with Power BI and Excel data filtering, and the ability to work with urgency and frequent task-switching in a high-speed technical team environment are considered as bonus skills.
For working conditions, you should be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours daily, assisting clients with accessibility needs both remotely and in-person. This is a remote role with occasional travel to the office based in Noida, with working hours from 10 am to 7 pm IST and some late evenings due to calls with the USA.
The compensation package includes a starting salary ranging from 4,44,873 to 5,93,189, with the potential to reach up to 7,33,490 through performance reviews conducted annually.
