Job Overview

The Global Material Planning Executive is responsible for driving the global material planning function to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and in the right quantity to support uninterrupted production and optimal inventory levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a global material planning strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead planning activities from long-term strategic planning to seasonal planning process and material preposition strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material availability and assess and mitigate any potential risk.
  • Drive global inventory strategies to balance service levels, investment, and cost.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory globally.

Process Optimization and Innovation

  • Standardize and optimize the global material planning processes and systems for consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline end-to-end workflows.
  • Introduce automation and digital planning capabilities.

People and Organization Leadership and Capability

  • Foster an environment where trust, creativity, innovation, and openness can thrive.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor the team to meet or exceed business performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration between different functions and regional teams.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Embed a data-first mindset across the global planning team.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and supply chain tools to assess performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency.
