About The Team

The Paid Ads team, established in 2016, provides an e-commerce advertising platform leveraging Shopee’s extensive data. The team specializes in data, high-performance AI-based online services, distributed systems, machine learning algorithms, and ad business strategies, emphasizing technological innovation.
Job Description
Develop Shopee Ads marketplace backend systems supporting Search, Recommendation, and Display ads.
Design, build, and manage high-performance, scalable, and available Ads systems to enhance Shopee’s infrastructure.
Improve platform efficiency and stability to support rapid business growth.
Handle end-to-end project delivery, refactor and optimize advertising modules such as targeting, recall, and ranking for business development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Go, C/C++, or Java.
Experience with Linux-based development and tools like Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Etcd.
Critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
Motivated, self-driven, and capable of delivering projects on time.
Effective communication and teamwork skills with a strong sense of ownership.
Knowledge in ads, search, recommendation, algorithms, backend, large-scale systems, or data pipelines is advantageous.
