ROLE SUMMARY We are looking for the right talent with Product Controller experience to cover the physical recycled metals trading business at Marex. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the production and review of the daily P&L and commentaries, monthly balance sheet substantiation and review, monthly and quarterly performance reporting and analysis. In addition to operating within their core function, there will also be significant exposure to the wider finance and business departments, including Trading, Shipping, Local Finance, and Group Treasury & Product Control teams. This position is based in Singapore. ACCOUNTABILITIES Preparation or review, analysis, and reporting of daily P&L and related commentaries Assist in reviewing daily consolidated Group P&L Build and maintain relationships with Front Office and control areas including Risk, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations; gain commercial understanding of relevant businesses and operational processes Prepare monthly balance sheet substantiation with appropriate supporting information for review by the Financial Director or Financial Controller Improve/automate Product Control processes by understanding and designing automated solutions, collaborating with technology teams Assist in internal and external audit activities Ensure all Product Control activities are documented in sufficient detail and kept up to date SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 3 years in a similar role Qualified accountant (or equivalent) preferred but not essential depending on experience Deep understanding of product control processes, systems, and frameworks Knowledge and experience of the LME Base Metals market and physical trading is essential Excellent team player with good attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong analytical and accounting skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with senior management and Front Office staff Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office; knowledge of Brady/Quor Fintrade or other CTRM systems is a benefit Experience in a regulated environment with understanding of risk and compliance requirements Collaborative, approachable, self-efficient, and positive influence in the work environment Resilient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ability to take responsibility and build relationships, network, and influence Strategic, insightful, and agile, anticipating future challenges and ensuring operational effectiveness Company Values The right person acts as a role model for the values of the Company: Respect – Clients are at the heart of our business; we treat them fairly and aim for superior execution and client service.
