What The Role Is
You lead a team to formulate, coordinate and execute digital media campaigns involving social media influencers to gain public buy-in of MINDEF/SAF's strategic communications objectives, and to preserve public trust and confidence in national defence, National Service (NS) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
What You Will Be Working On
Drive the development of the social media engagement strategy, managing influencer partnerships and keeping links warm with social media influencers and social media companies
Coordinate closely with the Media Relations Officers (MROs) to incorporate social media plans with mainstream media plans for a coherent strategic communications approach
Lead the team to develop a brand identity for MINDEF, including working with internal stakeholders such as Public and Digital Communications Directorate and policy departments on conceptualisation
Work with external stakeholders such as Public Relations (PR) firms for the execution of campaigns
Challenge(s)
Thinking critically and being adaptive in times of crisis whilst maintaining a calm demeanour and sharp decision-making
What We Are Looking For
Education in Communication Studies, Political Science or Social Sciences, or Science and Technology (Information and Communication Technology, Digital Media, Information Science etc.)
At least 6 years of relevant experience
Creative, embrace social media as a lifestyle and adept at writing for different platforms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Strong command of both written and spoken English
Proficiency in a second language (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is useful
Ability to work independently
Meticulous and detail-oriented
