What the role is
As part of a team operating and maintaining a test facility for 5G testing and experimentation, the responsibilities of this role include the following:
What you will be working on:
Configuring, operating and maintaining a telco-grade 5G Core platform and supporting infrastructure in a laboratory environment;
Performing detailed technical assessment, troubleshooting and analysis of 5G Core-related technologies/operation;
Assisting users of the system to familiarise with the experimental platform, 5G Core architecture and functionality;
Conducting training for internal audiences on 5G-related technologies using in-house testbeds as instructional platforms;
Presenting on 5G-related technical topics to internal audiences.
What we are looking for
Background in 5GC architecture and Core network functions with good understanding of 5G network architecture, protocols, and standards (e.g., 3GPP).
Possess at least 5 years of HANDS-ON experience in operation and/or implementation of 4G/5G Core networks. Experience with Nokia/Ericsson 5GC preferred.
Familiarity with IP networking/connectivity and routing/switching protocols/techniques (IPV4/IPV6, BGP, IGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.) would be advantageous.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, an ability to be PROACTIVE and LEAD in a multi-stakeholder environment, and FLEXIBILITY to take on tasks outside of normal job routine are prerequisites.
