Deputy Manager, Facilities & Assets Management Join Singapore Polytechnic's premier campus facilities team. Overview This role centres on campus facilities and assets management. The candidate will coordinate technical planning and support for SP events (e.g., SP Open House, Graduation Ceremonies, high‐profile visits) and work with the appointed Integrated Facilities Management Contractor to maintain audio‐visual (AV) assets. The position encourages collaboration across departments, ensuring seamless event execution and optimal facility operations. Key Responsibilities Liaise and coordinate technical support for SP events: organise recce visits, supervise pre‐event setups, manage timelines, and ensure successful outcomes. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions during events. Respond to building‐related/M&E breakdowns during events and liaise with the facilities team on emergencies. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Maintain AV equipment (smart monitors, microphones/speakers, matrix switchers, AV controllers, projection systems) across all facilities. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors and contractors. Oversee scheduled preventive maintenance and identify equipment for servicing before breakdowns. Respond promptly to AV malfunctions, minimizing disruptions. Manage maintenance agents and specialist vendors, oversee service scopes, audits and defect rectification. Manage budget planning, procurement processes, tender preparation and contractor payments. Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory requirements, proposing enhancements to AV and event practices. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Minimum Required Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Events and Project Management. Relevant qualifications in Digital Audio, Video Production and Lighting Management Systems. At least 5 years of experience in event management or facilities management for AV equipment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation. Ability to develop and maintain SOPs. Strong analytical and critical‐thinking skills. Leadership qualities and strategic planning skills. Collaboration and effective communication across stakeholders. Excellent time management and multitasking. Constructive work attitude, reliable and independent team member. Strong communication, problem‐solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with e‐procurement platforms; tender specification experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Successful candidate will receive a 2‐year contract (subject to renewal).
