English Language Teacher Position

We are seeking an experienced educator to teach IB English Language at Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) levels.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a strong understanding of the International Baccalaureate curriculum, and be able to engage students with diverse linguistic backgrounds. They should also be comfortable designing engaging lessons that focus on grammar, vocabulary, and communication in English Language.

Main Responsibilities

  • Teaching IB English Language at MYP and DP levels.
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the needs of students.
  • Preparing students for assessments in English Language and developing their confidence in oral skills.
  • Supporting writing development, including essays and creative tasks.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure progression in English Language skills across grades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English Language in IB or international schools.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with IB MYP and DP approaches to language learning.

Working Conditions

  • Supervising students during break and lunch periods.
  • Leading/coaching an after-school CCA (co-curricular activity).
