Role profile Reporting to the CEO, LCH Ltd and with strong matrix reporting lines to the other Heads of Business within the Market division, the role will lead the design and implementation of the APAC strategy for Markets. This will include developing and growing the Markets business in the region, increasing client and member numbers, managing the risk profile of the region, and building relationships at senior levels in the market, regulatory and government bodies. The role manages the LCH Ltd and Post Trade Solutions Sales and Run teams based in Japan, Australia and Singapore, as well as oversight of the FX teams in the region. The role holder will have strong commercial relationships at the top tier of banks and other financial institutions as well as regulatory bodies across the region. They will be a seasoned executive, adept at driving commercial outcomes, building product in a resilient manner and meeting customer needs, as well as demonstrating an enterprise mindset. Key responsibilities Reporting to the CEO LCH Ltd and accountability to the other Heads of Business within the Markets division, responsible for profitability and growth, and the strategic and commercial outcomes for the Markets business in APAC. Provides oversight for first line risk and service operations in the region. Leads the Markets team across the region (Sales and RUN), coaching and developing key talent and building a high performing team. Leads development and implementation of the division’s strategic programs for the region. Guides the business heads in overall direction, strategy and vision for the division, considering APAC-based members, clients, regulators and legal/technological constraints. Responsible for the profile of the businesses within APAC, and for raising the APAC profile within the group. Leverages LSEG relationships in APAC to enhance local client and regulatory engagement, ensuring compliance with local market standards and requirements. Connects with regional banks’ senior management to generate product ideas backed by a solid business case and collaborates with business line partners. Manages full commercial performance for the APAC Markets teams, monitoring revenue, expenses and cost drivers, market opportunities, and ensuring the division stays within budget. Identifies emerging strategic opportunities in APAC to extend products and services through innovation, partnerships or acquisition, and cross-selling within the Group. Represents the Markets teams in APAC at functions, industry events and public meetings. Demonstrates and role models LSEG values, including an enterprise mindset and collaboration with other LSEG divisions to drive group-wide commercial strategy. Skills and experience Strong experience directing strategy and delivery in an international, large-scale organisation. Deep knowledge of financial markets in APAC and LSEG’s business, members, products, services, competitive and regulatory landscape. Ability to represent the company to clients, regulatory and industry bodies, and participate in Board meetings and events. Established and extensive network of industry participants across APAC. Ability to develop new market initiatives, assess opportunities and analyze domestic and international business prospects. Extensive people leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
