Purpose of the Job
A BIM Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models of the physical spaces that will be built. These models are used as a reference point throughout the construction process, allowing everyone involved to see exactly what needs to be done at any given time. Building information models (BIM) are virtual files used to aid decision-making during the building process. BIM modelers work closely with architects and engineers to develop designs for clients.
Responsibilities:

• Establish and agree upon a BIM Execution Plan, ensuring on-going compliance and continuous improvement, as well as perform any and other responsibilities or functions as required in the BIM Execution Plan.

• Oversee, coordinate and manage BIM projects.

• Provide internal BIM consultancy for projects.

• Manage processes, implementation, best practices and techniques of BIM and related tools.

• Setup/maintain company BIM Standards, workflows and processes

• Determine the conventions to be followed for reviewing BIM models and associated deliverables.

• Monitor the progress of design to ensure it is according to planned schedule.

• Responsible to participate and support the Company's SHEQ within their scope of duties.

• Ability to train engineers in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks as well as Bentley software basics.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil, Architectural, Structural, or its equivalent with minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • Well-versed in BIM e-submission process, requirements and guidelines, and LTA, PUB, and BCA standards
  • Trained in BIM Modeling and BIM Management
  • Full understanding and competence in 3D modelling in Bentley and Autodesk Civil and Structural software and civil structural design, setting up Seed and Shared parameters, as well as experience in Navisworks, Navigator, BIM 360, and Solibri.
  • Experience in Bentley ProjectWise is of advantage
  • Degree in Architecture / Structural / Mechanical or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
  • Well-verse in local BIM e-submission process, requirements, and guidelines
  • Trained in BIM Modelling and BIM Management
