Manager - Volunteer Aftercare Programme

Scope The Volunteer After-Care Programme (VAP) trains and engages a growing pool of volunteers who are passionate about helping ex-offenders turn their lives around. The Befriending initiative assists ex-offenders with their reintegration transitioning by matching suitable volunteers to support ex-offenders with their needs. The Family Befriending and IIMAC initiatives focus on supporting the families of ex-offenders. VAP Manager is responsible to manage and oversee the operations of the various initiatives including the overall programme management, recruitment, training & development, maintenance and welfare of volunteers. Key Responsibilities Programme Management Conduct periodic reviews of the various aspects of the programmes and services offered as part of the VAP for improvement Initiate and develop new programmes based on service gaps Ensure the smooth running of the programme Conduct regular post-evaluation and feedback sessions with clients and ad-hoc sessions with volunteers to evaluate the effectiveness of the programme Provide support for other programmes, e.g. events organised for clients or as part of fund-raising efforts Ensure proper data governance Produce statistics and quarterly reports for the SACA Executive Committee Volunteer Management Conduct volunteer interview and assess and select suitable volunteers Conduct mass briefing with volunteers and interview with clients to ensure the right matching of befrienders to clients Accompany first-time volunteers when meeting clients in prison to assist with introductions and building rapport with new clients Debrief volunteer after the session, advising on how the volunteer should best move forward with engaging the client Identify learning opportunities on how best to tailor volunteer training sessions to specific areas of needs Accompany volunteers for home/field visits Ensure the volunteer report is updated and complete with the necessary information Conduct subsequent prison visit arrangements Arrange for the post evaluation interviews with clients Work closely with Training team for both new and experienced volunteers to enrol in necessary training classes to equip them with necessary skills in keeping up with the changing and complex needs of their clients Initiate and leverage platforms for volunteers to share knowledge and expertise and other activities Staff Management Supervise Social Work Associate(s) in his/her duties as well as to oversee his/her training and development needs Guide and Collaborate with Social Worker(s) involved in volunteer initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr
