Overview Senior School Emotional Guidance Counsellor August 2026 start Singapore We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior School Emotional Guidance Counsellor to join the school from August 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, resilience, and personal development within a high-achieving and caring school environment. The Counsellor will provide one-to-one support for students, offer advice and guidance to staff and parents, and contribute to the school’s wellbeing strategy through workshops, assemblies, and proactive initiatives. They will work closely with the Vice Principal (Pastoral), Designated Safeguarding Lead, and the wider pastoral team to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and able to flourish. The school look for candidates with the following education, skills and experience: Responsibilities "A recognised postgraduate qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.""Substantial experience working in counselling or guidance roles in school settings (senior secondary preferred). Familiarity with safeguarding practices and international school environments is essential.""Demonstrated ability in supporting students through emotional/social challenges and transitions; experience in crisis intervention.""Familiarity with and knowledge of best practices in social‐emotional learning, restorative practices, safeguarding, child protection.""Skills in designing and delivering preventive and developmental wellbeing programmes.""Strong interpersonal, communication, cultural awareness, and collaboration skills.""Ability to maintain confidentiality, emotional maturity, resilience, and professional boundaries.""Experience mentoring or supervising other counselling or pastoral staff is a plus."Qualifications A recognised postgraduate qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
