The Opportunity.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAS ETL Consultant to design, develop, and optimize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using SAS technologies. The consultant will play a critical role in integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, and enabling accurate reporting and analytics for business decision-making.

The Role.

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using SAS Data Integration Studio or SAS ETL tools.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather data integration requirements .
  • Extract data from multiple structured/unstructured sources, transform it into usable formats, and load it into target systems.
  • Optimize ETL jobs for scalability, performance, and reusability .
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and data architects to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide production support for ETL jobs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements .


The Expertise.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAS Base, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Enterprise Guide .
  • Expertise in ETL process design, development, and optimization .
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata).
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and performance-tune ETL workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Exposure to Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of reporting/BI tools (SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).
  • Experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or financial services industry domains.
