We are seeking a highly skilled
SAS ETL Consultant
to design, develop, and optimize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using SAS technologies. The consultant will play a critical role in integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, and enabling accurate reporting and analytics for business decision-making.
The Role.
Design, develop, and implement
ETL workflows
using SAS Data Integration Studio or SAS ETL tools.
Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather
data integration requirements .
Extract data from multiple structured/unstructured sources, transform it into usable formats, and load it into target systems.
Optimize ETL jobs for
scalability, performance, and reusability .
Implement
data validation and quality checks
to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Develop and maintain
technical documentation
for ETL processes.
Collaborate with
data analysts, BI developers, and data architects
to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide
production support
for ETL jobs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with
data governance, security, and regulatory requirements .
The Expertise.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with
SAS Base, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Enterprise Guide .
Expertise in
ETL process design, development, and optimization .
Solid knowledge of
SQL
and relational database concepts (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata).
Experience with
data warehousing concepts
and best practices.
Ability to work with
large datasets
and performance-tune ETL workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills:
Exposure to
Big Data ecosystems
(Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of
reporting/BI tools
(SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with
Unix/Linux scripting
and scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).
Experience in
banking, insurance, healthcare, or financial services
industry domains.
