Key Responsibilities
Analyse economic developments, labour market shifts, and workforce trends to advise senior leadership on implications for workers.
Formulate policy recommendations that align with organisational objectives and advocate for stronger worker protection and progression.
Conduct in-depth policy and data analysis using third-party sources, economic datasets, and ground-level intelligence.
Develop insights and policy papers to inform internal stakeholders and support advocacy efforts.
Liaise with government agencies to influence and shape labour-related policymaking.
Partner with internal business units, unions, and industry representatives to gather ground feedback from unionised and non-unionised sectors.
Tailor recommendations and support schemes that address diverse worker needs.
Track macroeconomic outlooks, employment patterns, and sectoral shifts that affect the workforce.
Produce reports, discussion papers, and presentations for senior management and policy forums.
Requirements
A recognised degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, Public Policy, or other related disciplines.
At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with exposure to policy, economics.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
A self-starter with a keen interest in policy analysis, and economic developments.
Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
Experience in economic analysis or policy research is advantageous but not essential.
