Job description Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites within the company. Organize safety & health training and promotional activities, identifying hazards and advice control measures. Supervise and lead a team of Workplace Safety Health personnel and interface with operational staff on safety matters. Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks or areas for improvement, conducting safety & health audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment practices and working conditions. Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HSE professionals to ensure that the organization's HSE strategies is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards. Initiate investigation into all accidents or incidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective or preventive measures to prevent recurrences. Ensure that the environmental issues such as drainage, noise monitoring, pollution control and pest control are implemented in accordance with the statutory requirements and advise site staff accordingly. Advocate and inculcate a strong safety culture within the company. Job Requirements Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects. Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental field. Good knowledge of Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental areas. Familiar with OSH/ ISO documentation.
